CWPP Process

Timberline View Estates Homeowners are currently working on developing a Community Wildfire Protection Plan, per Health Forests Restoration Act of 2003

Core Team (includes professionals from various governmental agencies and representatives of Timberline HOA):

  • Mark Stiles, President, Timberline HOA Board
  • Dan Ochocki, Director, Timberline HOA Board
  • Pam Wilson, Firewise Council of SW CO
  • Chris Barth, Bureau of Land Management
  • Kent Grant, CO State Forest Service
  • Dan Noonan, Durango Fire and Rescue

CWPP Advisory Committee (Timberline Homeowners interested in helping with the project): to date 19 homeowners have signed up. To sign up and support this advisory committee, email Mark Stiles at stilesmb@charter.net

CWPP Neighborhood meetings: The CWPP process usually involves several neighborhood meetings to keep homeowners informed and to solicit suggestions. The first neighborhood meeting was held on February 19, 2014. We hope to bring recommendations to another neighborhood meeting later this spring. We encourage all Timberline homeowners to attend this meeting.
